Here is a step by step guide on how to use the platform Indeed.com for applying for internships. If you are a company and are wondering how to list an internship here I would suggest googling it since I am not sure, however you can see here what it looks like on the interns side. First I have listed the step with some instructions and underneath it is an accompanying photo of what should show up on your screen - NOTE - it will not be exactly the same (for example the internship listings change all the time) and it's usually tailored to your account and the types of internships you typically apply for.
step 1
The first thing to do is go onto indeed.com and click on the Sign In button on the top right, here you can create an account or sign in if you already have one. From there you are going to see that you have options to upload a resume that you already have, and filter to the type of job you want. Since this is a job + internship finder that doesn't have a separate branch simply for internships, you are going to want to type Internship in the 'what' box that allows you to type in the job title, keywords, company, etc.
step 2
When you type in Internship and your location, you can be more specific with your town if you are planning to do an in person thing, but if you want to do a remote (at home) internship the location doesn't matter that much. Here you can see the filters available to you in order to clarify your search and make it more personalized to you.
step 3
You can click on the message bar for a pop-up to appear in which you can quickly view the messages you received from companies alongside the other internship opportunities. When you click on an internship opportunity that interests you, a pop-up with appear alongside the small description with the full details. From there you can apply on the third party website or on the site if available. It depends on the internship.
step 4
And that's pretty much it! I'm sorry this is lacking detail but if you want answers to specific questions you can head over to their website which can answer them in their FAQ's or Help sections. I typically use Chegg.com which is why I am more familiar with it and provide more details on the process. They also have more resources for help in applying if you are confused or want general tips.
