Organizing Platforms
Creating schedules for yourself is a really difficult process when you are getting started. If you're doing an internship or job remotely it feels nearly impossible to justify to yourself why you should create an editorial calendar in bed when you can simply watch another episode of The Circle! I get it... trust me xD!!
Something that can be helpful is using a platform that organizes yourself so you don't have to do it! My personal favorite is creating a notion workspace because it's super personal and you can make it aesthetically pleasing which will make you want to use it more. I have a template here if you're interested.
I'll have to admit... I am a bit old school because I personally just use Notion or hardcover planners because there is something sooooo satisfying of checking off a checkbox with your pen so aggressively!!! BUT there are some great platforms out there for FREE in this digital age so they are definitely worth checking out if you're into them!
ClickUp - This is a free management platform that organizes tasks based on their priority!
Any.do - This is also free but really great because it not only can be on your phone but your smartwatch!
Trello - I use this with work as my boss will assign me tasks on here, I think it's really easy to use!
Monday.com - This was the first platform I ever used for work and I recommend it but like Trello more!
Todolist - This is simple but it gets the job done without overcomplicating things!
Toggl - This is a chrome extension and tracks how long y0u spend on each app, finds the day you're most productive, and prioritizes tasks by the hour... it's really advanced if you hadn't noticed!
24Me - This is cool because it has a really nice voice control feature and syncs with your calendar!

Kick Today in the Butt Notebook by Dash of Pep
This planner is my go to for everyday because not only is it not dated (thank goodness I can never stick to those- I need freedom if I skip a day by accident!) but also because it has a killer mental health self reflection section. Not only do you have the ability to organize your day, but you can do a little check in! |
Planner Templates!
Let's be honest, sometimes planners can be too expensive because even though it's $20 you just spend $40 on fine tip pens that don't bleed through pages and... I'm getting off topic. *AHEM* Let me start over.
Sometimes you have empty blank notebooks lying around, but that doesn't mean you can't use them to make organization cute!! Below I have some templates that I think are really simple and sweet for planning!
